FUNNY STORY
See these awesome card shelves? Well, my mom and I built them. This was our first project ever, but we felt good about it. I went to Home Depot and picked out the lumber. A very nice gentleman helped me cut it into the lengths I needed. I bought a nail gun, yes, you heard me, a nail gun. So, one morning prior to our grand opening, we spread everything out and started building. It was easy and we felt pretty good about it. My step-dad, Harry, was not here, but checked in every once in a while. I am pretty sure he didn’t think we were up to the challenge. So we came up with a funny idea. We nailed some of the scraps together, different lengths, shapes, etc. and sent this picture to him.
We wanted him to see this picture and think this was the best we could come up with. Notice my mom’s enigmatic smile and thumbs up. He was so nice. He said something like “Be careful with that nail gun.” And then added “I think it would be better if all the pieces were the same length.” Moral of the story: Women can do anything they set their mind to! 🙂
